About Mrs. Wynn
Professional Background
My name is Amber Wynn, and I have been teaching since 2012 in Keller ISD. I previously taught fourth grade for four years at Friendship Elementary, and I am extremely excited to teach third grade at Sunset Valley! I was honored to be selected by my colleagues as Friendship Elementary's Teacher of the Year in 2015-2016, and then went on to be one of Keller ISD's Top 5 Teachers of the Year. My first year of teaching, I won the Keller ISD Lisa Veitenheimer Award for first-year teachers, thanks to the nominations of my wonderful peers. Before I started teaching full-time, I worked as a substitute teacher in Keller and in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw. I have known I was going to be a teacher at a very young age. I was called to teaching, and heavily influenced by a few of my very own teachers when I was in elementary school. I graduated from Texas Woman's University, majoring in Elementary Education. I absolutely enjoy every second of what I do. I'm passionate about teaching and learning, and I hope to inspire my kiddos to feel the same way. I feel lucky to be where I am-- surrounded by such a wonderful group of kiddos and educators. |
Outside of School
Being a teacher is a huge chunk of my life, but I do enjoy many other things! I love to spend time with my husband (Josh), my furbabies (Judy and Sally), my family, and my friends. I spend my time going to watch live music, listening to music, watching movies, getting crafty, occasionally writing, taking rides in my Jeep, and relaxing with a good book. I played soccer for about ten years growing up, and I still enjoy kicking the ball around with friends. I love giraffes, my favorite color is red, and I believe that most questions can be answered by a lyric from the greatest band of all time-- The Beatles. |
